How much to book you for our wedding?

Our wedding photography collections start at $1,900 and our video collections start at $1,400. All of our packages can be customized to best fit your needs and budget. Just ask!

What’s included?

The hours: From first email exchange to final package delivery, we put roughly 80-100 hours of work into our weddings. Those hours involve mostly editing and post-process, but also include unlimited communication, coordination with other vendors, meetings with our couples, plus actual time spent capturing your wedding and engagement photos and/or video (5-10 hours). 

The product: Depending on how many shooters, we typically take between 2,000 and 5,000 total photos during a wedding day. During post-process, my wife and I carefully go through each image, select the best shots, and finely edit, retouch, color-correct, and make sure every detail is perfect. You’ll receive between 300 and 800 photos in your wedding album, depending on how many hours of coverage you’ve booked us for! When shooting video, we typically have multiple camera angles of your entire day, making for a LOT of great footage.

How long does it take to receive my photos and/or video?

We typically deliver wedding galleries within 6-8 weeks following your wedding day. However, we give ourselves 3 months depending on the time of year and unforeseen life circumstances. Engagement and family sessions are delivered within 3 weeks of your shoot date. 

How will I receive my collection of wedding and engagement photos and/or video?

All images are delivered through email via a private online gallery for your viewing and downloading pleasure! You’ll have download access to every image in high resolution without watermarking. You’re welcome to share your gallery with friends, family, coworkers, etc.! High-quality prints on archival paper are available for purchase through the online gallery.  Video is delivered online for easy download as well. Of course, if you are like my wife and like to store things in boxes, we would be happy to compile all of your photos and/or videos onto a USB.

How do we book you? 

If you're interested in booking us, please send us an email through our contact page. Once we’ve confirmed we are available on your wedding date, we’ll send you a contract with all the specifics. We usually like to set up a time to meet up or chat on the phone to help answer any of your questions and get to know you as a couple. To book, we require a 30% deposit and signed contract. The remaining deposit is due 2 weeks before your wedding day.

How far in advance should we book?

We prefer as far in advance as possible! Usually couples book us anywhere 9 months to a year in advance. However, we take a select number of weddings per year and once we’re full, we’re full. If we’re booked on your date or filled-up for the year, we are happy to help you out with referrals for other talented photographers with our similar style + pricing. 

From start to finish, Matt was the best decision we could have made. He was so easy to work with, even when it was pouring rain on my wedding day! Plus the photos are beyond stunning.

How many hours should we hire you for?

Our wedding packages start at 5 hours and go all the way up to 10 hours for a full day of coverage.  It all depends on what is important to you- do you really need all the late-night dancing photos, or would you prefer to focus on bride-prep? We do suggest arriving no later than two hours before your scheduled ceremony time (and earlier if you're planning on doing a first look). This will allow us to capture all the important details, images of your venue without guests, and getting ready moments without rushing!

If you think you'll need us for longer than 10 hours, we can absolutely stay longer!

How much for additional hours of wedding day coverage?

$200/hour

Can we post images to social media forums?

Please do! We love love LOVE when clients share their photos.

If our day-of schedule changes, can we adjust total hours of coverage? 

Absolutely! We just need two weeks notice so we can adjust your final deposit.

What if it rains?

Rain on your wedding day is good luck! We are all yours on your wedding day rain or shine and will do our best to accommodate. We are experienced with shooting in rain, and actually kind of enjoy it because the photos turn out really unique. If you suspect rain, we will bring a few umbrellas that look great in photos, but we welcome you to be creative and get your own. If it rains (or we get that super dense coastal fog) when we’ve scheduled your engagement session, we will happily reschedule.

Who do you hire as your assistant(s)?

With a second shooter, you get twice the coverage! Usually we split up for bride and groom prep, so that no moment is left un-captured. We then work together for the rest of the day to get different and unique angles. My wife and I often shoot together, as we were both trained in photography and have a passion for capturing life's moments. We've both "been there", we get it. We've been through the stress of a wedding day and will help walk you through it together. If she is busy with the boys at home, no doubt she will still take part in the editing process.

All of my other assistants are easy going, professional photographers/videographers who maintain a similar style to mine. I ensure all assistants are equipped with the same high quality gear, and have the experience to know how to use it. 

Matt captured the biggest day of my life with absolute beauty; I couldn’t be happier with the result.

What's in your bag?

We use all professional equipment by canon: 5D Mark iii bodies and a family of Canon lenses featuring 50mm, 24-70mm, 70-200mm. Video equipment also includes professional slides, a steady camera and drone.

What about drone footage?

All video packages come with the option of HD drone footage, which is typically done before the ceremony to help capture the scenery for your highlight video. I typically do not fly the drone during the ceremony, as I prefer to focus my attention on capturing every gorgeous moment.  However, if you have something specific in mind, I'd be happy to make it happen!

Engagement session vs. no engagement session?

We get it, engagement sessions aren’t for everyone. But, if you're on the fence - we don’t have enough great things to say about getting to work with you and your love before your big day! Engagement sessions are a perfect opportunity for the 4 of us to get to know each other and give you a chance to experience how we work, how we direct, and what its like to be in front of our cameras. Engagement sessions are intimate and SO FUN! We love working with our couples to come up with the perfect location, outfit, and vibe, which all reflects your unique personalities + relationship. 

Who knew shooting an engagement session could be so fun! We had a blast.

What should we expect at an engagement or family session?

To arrive at a beautiful location and be yourselves! We’ve found that some clients think they have to model or know how to pose. No way! All you have to do it be ready for some laughs and have fun! We will provide direction, set up shots and mostly capture all the messy in-between moments because that's the real stuff!

Where are you located? Do you travel?

We live in a beach town in Southern California, and Yes, we will travel ANYWHERE! We've built our business and learned how to create through traveling. Our travel costs are negotiable, because at the end of the day, we want to be there with you.
